Derry athlete Declan Reid broke the two hours 30 minutes mark to finish 20th in today’s Dublin marathon.
The City of Derry Spartan posted 2.26 in the event which was won by Kenyan Eliud Too in a time of 2.14.17 which was nearly four minutes faster that Sean Hehir’s time of 2.18.19 last year.
Esther Wanjiru Macharia, also of Kenya, took the women’s race in a time of 2.34.15, which was also nearly four minutes quicker than Maria McCambridge’s 2.38.51 in last year’s race.
