DERRY footballer James McClean has been taking the hand out of down in the mouth Rangers fans on Twitter – again!

The Republic of Ireland player took to social media to taunt Rangers fans about their team being left out of the latest edition of the Fifa 16 game.

Derry City’s Ciaran O’Connor made onto Fifa 16 but neither did Rangers or any of its players get a mention.

It is hugely embarrassing for the club that once was challenged Celtic yearly to become Scottish league champions.

“Was looking to play an old firm in #fifa16 but i cant find rangers? Anyone know if there in it? #confused” McClean wrote tongue-in-cheek.

His comments have gone well with Celtic fans after Rangers got knocked out of the Scottish Cup this week by St Johnstone.

McClean is now stranger to controversy.

Earlier this year, the West Brom midfielder used Twitter site to enter the Derry/Londonderry name change row.

At Sunderland, he was banned from social media after causing a sectarian row when he tweeted his love for rebel song The Broad Black Brimmer by The Wolfe Tones.

The 26-year-old, who played for Northern Ireland at under 21, has been jeered at virtually every Premier League game this season after refusing to recognise the Cross of St George prior to a pre-season friendly.
