City of Derry Golf Club lady captain Marie Clifford and club captain Bob McKimm with Mrs. Helen Perston and daughters, Clara, Claire and Vicki at the presentation of a specially commissioned seat in honour of long standing member Charlie Perston.
Charlie was a life long member of City of Derry.
Serving as president in 1977 and 1978, he carried out the major re-writing of the club’s constitution.
The captain, on behalf of the club, thanked Charlies’ widow, Helen and her family for what he described as “this most generous gift” to the club.
The seat will be sited outside the main entrance to the clubhouse.
