Alfie Kane (9) returned to winning ways at City of Derry Golf Club in the Club Stroke competition on Sunday, recording a creditable 68 nett that was also the best gross of the day.
Alfie was followed home by Eddie Mitchell (16) who lost out on first place on a tie break despite having three double bogies and a quadruple bogey.
Ciaran Grant (25) was third on 69 nett in a round that included three triple bogies and a quadruple bogey.
Club championship Qualifiers
Aaron King (7) scored 40 points to head the field in last night’s qualifier, a shotgun start with 47 contenders for the top 16 spots. 33 points (break of tie) was the cut off mark and full details of the draw etc. will be available shortly on the locker room notice board.
